I realized that you left me with a hollow heart,
that even the slightest knock makes a loud deafening sound.
My heart wasn't fragile, oh no, It was hard, cold and hollow.
On the outside, stems were growing, thorns were showing.

One time, someone tried to care for my heart,

to fill my heart,
to hold my heart,
but he left with bloodied hands and sorrowful eyes.

He pitied me.

I pitied me.
I cried for me.
I woke up the next day for me,
and then I stopped feeling sorry for me myself.

Slowly, I searched for things that make me happy.

That bright yellow sunflower?
I picked it up and kept it in my heart.
That group shot with friends?
Printed it and shoved it inside my heart.
That smile on the girl's face whenever I look at the mirror?
I memorized it and sent it to my heart.

My heart is still isn't completely filled,

but it's getting there,
slowly filling up the hollowness you've cause.

Turning Into a Star

selfie of Jo from her IG acc
Jo was born on the 19th day of February in the year 1993. She is the youngest of the three kids of Ludy and Roger Villanueva. Her oldest sibling, Melai, was married last year (2013), while her older brother, Bri, suffers from the middle child syndrome. Jo is the family's favorite because of her charm and good looks. She is also the smartest of the lot and the most humble. At a young age, her parents knew that she will be a star someday.

Jo started her life on stage when she was still in nursery. She danced to the tune of Pearly Shell at MCA Montessori School's teachers' day. Her next gigs during her adolescent life were a blur, but she could not forget being a part of their school's doxology. Singing the song Moon River for teachers' day was also memorable for her, as well as playing as  an extra for her school's musical. She was one of The Pink Ladies from Grease

When she stepped into high school, she gave a lot of her time studying rather than auditioning for different roles for different movies. She invested on her brain instead of her looks because she wanted a back-up plan if ever her acting career fails. One magazine even posted a rumor that
there were great acting stint that was offered at her doorstep but she politely declined their offers. The only projects she accepted were from Noli Me Tangere, which she played the role of Sisa, and El Filibusterismo, in which she wwwas asked to portray Donya COnsolacion. She couldn't turn down these roles because it was produced by her friends. Even with an acting stint dduring her junior and senior days, she still focused on acing her maths and sciences. With her bright mind and hard work, Jo graduated with honors at Integrated Montessori Center. She also got accepted to all the school she applied to, to name a few, University of the PhilippinesMiriam CollegeUniversity of Santo Tomas and Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. She really wanted to go to Hogwarts but was told that she was no longer qualified to study there because she was too old to enroll in the said school, so, she chose University of the Philippines Los Banos instead.

College gave her freedom and fresh air. It was also the start of her flourishing career into stardom. She, along with a chosen few, competed for 1st place on a dance competition that is a part of CEMPLANGAN. She was so happy that time because they won 1st place. Jo also portrayed the role of a tree at the Faculty Follies 2010. She was so terrified at the beginning because the arena was filled with two hundred thousand supporters, but she said in an interview that she was able to overcome her fright with the help of her co-performers. The crowd never felt her frightened state for she was congratulated for the role. The audience said that she was so brown and yet so green, it was sensational. Her colleagues also never forgotten her performance at CEM's Foundation Day in which she displayed an elegant interpretative dance, with her colleague, Isay, as the pianist.

Jo as Kimmy and  Dora in Kimmy Dora
While busy managing her time studying, socializing and leading an organization (UPAEMS, 2012-13), She also managed to star in a few shows. She got the lead role of Kimmy Dora, where she portrayed two personas, one is a responsible, strict and unhappy CEO, while the other is a cute, bubbly and carefree daughter. Kimmy Dora was a huge success that the producers were forced to produced a  sequel and a prequel for the said movie. She also got the lead role of a famous indie movie, Ang Babae sa Septic Tank (The Woman in the Septic Tank), which bagged a lot of awards, including Best Actress. She had two other movies, after that, My House Husband: Ikaw Na! and Wedding Tayo, Wedding Hindi.

Everyone's Bestfriend

Jo with the other IT girls
Jo is also famous for being socially likable by a lot of celebrities. She grabbed the title, "most mentioned celebrity by another celebrity on twitter", which often occur whenever she attends parties. It is said that Jo will be the next IT GIRL in the Philippine industry. She has been caught hanging out with the other famous IT GIRLS, Georgina Wilson and Anne Curtis. Rumors say that they are at beck and call with each other. It is rumored that the three ladies toured Paris and shopped 'til they dropped last summer. A famous local channel opened a press conference in which they confirmed that the three will have numerous gigs together, one of which is rumored to be a talk show about being fresh and fabulous and filthy rich at a young age.  The said talk show will feature different areas in Europe, while they search for the trendiest styles of these different places. After the live press conference, the rival local channel reported that their hottest party of the year will be hosted by these three celebrities!

Staying True
Jo with Ana and Jem

Jo with Ana
It's true that Jo Villanueva will be the hottest thing this season and for the next seasons to come, but a lot of fans love that fact that she still has time with her buddies. She has been always caught hanging out with her close friends in her school. Two of those friends are not so new to the limelight as well. Jo is close friends with Ana S and Jem L. Ana Salvador is a writer for contemporary essays and she became famous because of her sacrilegious and constant posts on her blog. She is the proud owner of ohyeahitsana blog on Tumblr. Her followers grew to 30 million because of her wild adventures outside the country and her witty posts. Being a student traveler inspired many young wanderers to set foot on different lands at a young age.

Jo's other close friend, Jem is famous for dating the then rumored gay teenage heartthrob,
Jo with Jem
Enchong Dee. On their first year of relationship, Enchong quickly popped the ring, his fans dismayed, but the surprise thing that happened was when Jem declined the marriage. When asked why, "I'm too young to be married. I'm happy where we are right now and I just want the both of us to be sure we're ready when the time comes." was all she said in an interview.

Both of Jo's friends are making their name in the biz, and this makes Jo happy. She told in an interview for Vogue Magazine, "My friends, you know, they've been there for me for a long time. They know me with or without any make-up on and they love me nonetheless. I'm more excited for them because I have an idea what it felt like when people start noticing you and I'm excited for them to feel that, and also, seeing them smile like a lunatic whenever people recognize them is the best feeling ever. I love them, and I know that they'll be a good influence to other people, mostly to the younger generation."

On Her Lovelife
Even with her completely filled out schedule, Jo still has time for her heart. She had numerous partners which she met from the industry, and the most popular one is Charles Bartholomew Bass, who is known for being a wealthy bachelor in New York. Ever since Chuck's father died, he inherited his father's company and took the role of CEO at the young age of 23. He was a known flirt but many saw how he changed his polygamous ways when he entered a monogamous relationship with Jo. Many fans were hoping for a marriage to happen but to everyone's dismay, the couple broke up after 3 years of being together. It has been rumored that Jo broke up with Chuck because she had a crush with a local star named Daniel Padilla. Those reports were proven wrong when Chuck was interviewed by E!. He said in the interview, "Jo and I broke up because of the lack of time. Jo needed to stay in the country because of school, and I couldn't visit as often as we would like because of my responsibilities as CEO. The distance apart made us both miserable, we were missing each other too much and that's why we've decided to end the relationship." He then added,"It really was a mutual decision and there never was any third party. We both respect each other and no one would treat each other like trash by cheating. We're better than that."
A year after the split of Jo and Chuck, Jo  was rumored to be dating the famous local teen heartthrob, Daniel Padilla. The relationship was never confirmed, but these two were always caught cuddling and sweet with each other by the paps. They even have couple glasses which they were both seen wearing during on of their 'night out with friends'. Daniel was caught off guard when he mistakenly said Jo's name instead of Kathryn in an interview, but he dismissed the issue by saying that he got confused by the question. Although the relationship was never confirmed, their 'split' was felt by the media and by a lot of fans. People noticed that the two were avoiding each other in one of their friend's party and Jo also stopped wearing their couple glasses. It was rumored that Jo broke off her relationship with Daniel because Kathryn's manager asked her to do it for him since it would be the best for his career. They said that continuing her relationship with Daniel might ruin his career since he was fixed on being teamed up with Kathryn Bernardo on screen, and continuing their relationship might confuse the audience.

Right now, Jo is single but she is very vocal about her new crush, Kim Jong Kook, a Korean singer/variety show celebrity who is almost 20 years older than her.

In morse code.

There was a clear yellow line between us,
and yet somehow, you managed to step on it and blur it.
I thought you were going to my side,
but you just stayed there.
I waited.
I waited.
I waited.

I got tired,
so I pushed you back to your side,
and then I built thick cement wall between us.

Goodbye.

Let me tell you a story about a girl whose dreams piled each other up and ate her whole. She died dreaming.

Let me tell you a story about a boy who worked from neck to neck. He said he wanted all the riches in the world. Unfortunately for him, he died before he received his first paycheck.

Let me tell you a story about me...
“Being alone and being lonely are two different things.”

i carry your heart with me

i carry your heart with me(i carry it in
my heart)i am never without it(anywhere
i go you go, my dear;and whatever is done
by only me is your doing,my darling)
                                                        i fear
no fate(for you are my fate,my sweet)i want
no world(for beautiful you are my world,my true)
and it's you are whatever a moon has always meant
and whatever a sun will always sing is you

here is the deepest secret nobody knows
(here is the root of the root and the bud of the bud
and the sky of the sky of a tree called life;which grows
higher than soul can hope or mind can hide)
and this is the wonder that's keeping the stars apart

i carry your heart with me(i carry it in my heart)

Throwback!!

Nursery
1.       I had my first bestfriend. Her name is Michelle something. She was second in our class.
2.       I was first in our class. My grade was the highest in our school. I was able to beat the final grade for 2nd quarter of the elementary and high school students’ honor rolls.
3.       I kissed my crush on the lips while we were practicing our dance number. The song we danced to is Pearly Shell.
4.       I was accelerated to kinder.

Kinder-Prep-Grade 1-Grade 2
They were a blur, but I was always part of the honor roll.

Grade 3
1.       I sang ‘Moon River’ in front of everyone. Pre-school, Grade School and High School, when we got back inside our homeroom, my adviser told me that it was her favorite song.
2.       I cut class during our catechism class. No, it wasn’t a Catholic school but it was when were supposed to get our first communion. Whenever I cut class, I go to the canteen to buy a snack and I stay there. No one reprimanded me because I was a goodie-two-shoes.
3.       Mom asked our maid and I to buy a white dress for my first communion, I bought a pink frilly dress.
4.       Since I don’t have a white dress, and I don’t know a lot of prayers (because of cutting class), I didn’t attend our first communion.
5.       I was close to my service-mates, even to the ates and kuyas, then one random day, this girl who was hated by everyone (because she was a meanie) conspired the others to make my life there, inside our service, a hell. So, the sweet driver of the van always saved me the front seat of his L300. I didn’t care then because I got the radio and aircon to myself. Then one day, one of my service mate, who was a year older than me, took the front sit and talked to me again. After that, the others did too. We were all buddy-buddies again.
6.       I was still a part of the honor roll.
7.       I was invited to join the Mr. and Ms. MCA (name of our school), the elementary edition. My father told me that I can’t join because my sister was joining, and we didn’t have enough moolah to support us both (with the dress cost and the make-up cost, etcetera). My sister won 3rd place.
8.       They tease me chanak because my name was CHArina and I was bungal then.
9.       Janine, who was two years younger than me, became my bestfriend. We were servicemate, and yes, she was part of the conspiracy.
10.   My second kiss on the lips happened. In my defense, we were playing, and it was an accident.
11.   I grabbed the star role of a dance production in an event in our school. The song was ‘New York, New York’, I was wearing a black tights and a leotard, I had a top hat and a black long stick. My nipples were kinda obvious, but I was a kid then! But this girl, who was also my servicemate, the one who was the brain of the conspiracy, told my classmates that, “Si Charina, bakat ang utong.” For a girl my age, the word utong was horrifying. I was hurt and I blamed my mom.
12.   I changed schools because my sister graduated high school, and my father, for some bizarre reason, doubted the skills of the teachers of that school. He was right about that.

Grade 4
1.       I was the new kid and I was bullied by a girl who was adopted. I never found out what her problem was. I think she read too much American-based pocketbooks because she felt like she was the school’s queen bee who is in love with Sakura tarot cards.
2.       I met another mortifying person (up to this day, I never liked him.). He was your typical bully. I hate him because he kept on teasing me in a very stupid level. It was really hard to deal with stupid people.
3.       I met 3 wonderful girls who became my super close friends, and I still consider them as great friends no matter how we poorly we try to contact each other. We called ourselves Chocolates, I was Kisses.
4.       I told them that Dominic Ochoa was my cousin. I was very stupid then.
5.       When I had a fight with one of the Chocolates, she told the class the lie that I’ve told them. It was mortifying.
6.       Our adviser sweats a lot. You never miss a day when there were no armpit stains.
7.       I made a boy cry. He was my crush and we were taking a test, but I finished early, so I started talking to him. We got caught, he blamed me, and he cried.

Grade 5
1.       First time I was placed on the PM class. The am class were so full that I had to take the pm class, which starts after lunch.
2.       I had new classmates that were from IMC but from a different branch. They were really close to each other and they were really smart. Really smart.
3.       I had a hard time understanding mixed fractions. I asked the teacher to repeat the discussion four times. I realized that I wasn’t gonna get it at that time, and my classmates were laughing already (I bet on my life that the boys don’t understand it as well.) so after the fourth discussion, I just nodded.
4.       I was sent to the guidance office for pushing this boy from a very tall stack of chairs. I did that because he was trying to take the butterfly clip from my hair.

Grade 6
1.       I became friends with another group. It had two boys and another girl from Chocolates.
2.       I had my first phone. It was a Motorola C651. I threw it on a friend’s face when I got angry of his teasing.
3.       First time I failed a subject. It was science. I got 74, 2nd quarter. I thought I was gonna die if my parents found out. We had a crisis that time, the family was a mess, the thought it was just an effect of our problems. I got away.
4.       I made new friends. They were the smart ass of the school, and if you’re the smartass of the school, you are highly respected. This guy, He had the looks and the brain, I was so intimidated by him at first, it turned out that he was nice after all. That guy was bullied a lot though. Now this girl, she was stubborn, maybe because she was an only girl, and it was the first time I’ve witnessed a parent pressure her kid. I thought it only happens in the movies.
5.       We had our school production, I was one of the ‘Pink Ladies’ of Grease.
6.       I dated this guy who I met at Glorietta. Mom left me at National Bookstore, there was this cute guy, he asked for my number, we texted, he was 2nd year, Don Bosco student. Not gay. So he asked if we can go out on a date, this was a secret. I never told a soul. I asked my mom to take me to Glorietta because I was gonna watch movies with my friends. Told her one of my friends will take me home. So there, we went out, IT WAS KINDA AWKWARD, and I told him that! “ang awkward natin. Hahaha”  fuck. He took me to this American Sports Grill. He sat right next to me and I was thinking that time, “this is not gonna work. It can get awkward. I’d rather he sit in front of me”. he ordered this huge burger with fries and everything. The burger was so huge, they have to cut it into 4 pieces, and it was still huge. I was kinda freaked out, like, how much is this? How much will my share be? Hahaha but he paid for everything. I don’t know how but we were able to finish the burger, but there were some fries left. While we were talking, he kissed me. I was so shocked. It was my first real deal kiss. ugh. Then he kissed me the second time. It was just a chaste kiss on the lips. He then called his driver and drove me home. We continued flirting on texts but then he suddenly stopped texting. I was too you, too naïve to care.
7.       We graduated. My Chocolate friends and a lot of other elementary friends changed schools.

First year
1.       I won first place for interpretative reading. There were 6 of us, one fourth year, one third year, two second years and two first years.
2.       I was asked to discuss Malaria in front of the whole high school department. They only picked 4 students to discuss 4 diseases, etc. It was terrifying. At least they were laughing while I was discussing.
3.       Our team won first place for Go Negosyo. It was a national competition and we won 18 thousand pesos for selling Squash Ice Cream.
4.       I was asked to join the Singapore student exchange program, but my mom declined because we didn’t have the money, my ‘same year’-bestfriend was asked as well, but they decline also because she couldn’t bring her nanny there.
5.       I had my first high school costume party.
6.       Got into the honor roll.

Second year
1.       My same year-bestfriend and I had a falling out.
2.       I became close to this guy who turned out to be my second boyfriend.
3.       I got close to two girls, we called ourselves the triplets.
4.       Our section built a horror room.
5.       Won second place for Interpretative reading.
6.       My guy-bestfriend and I revealed to each other that we liked each other.
7.       I was taught how to play dota.
8.       I was semi-seriously courted by a guy a year older than me.
9.       Second year was full of drama.
10.   Got into the honor roll.

Third year
1.       I had my first official boyfriend. We lasted a month. He was the guy who courted me when I was in 2nd year.
2.       Won first place for interpretative reading.
3.       Didn’t join the school production, high school musical, because my boy-bestfriend didn’t join either.
4.       JS PROM was held on my birthday. A girl dared me to dance on my own, pretending to have a partner, the teachers took pity and danced with me.
5.       I was part of the cotillion and my partner had a really lovely smile. He wasn’t my crush though, but he was really nice that night.
6.       4 senior guys asked me to dance. One of those was my ex.
7.       I was part of the honor roll. J

Fourth year
1.       I received my first bouquet of flowers.
2.       Had my second boyfriend. The teachers weren’t happy. Actually, the teachers didn’t know that we were together. They were just suspicious.
3.       I won (landslide) for the position of Public Relations Officer in our Student Council.
4.       I also won 4 other positions in different clubs.  P.R.O. for Science Club, Book Lover’s Club and Classroom Officer, and Treasurer for ASCIT (comp. club).
5.       Won first place in propaganda making contest. It was a group contest.
6.       Performed  Interpretative Reading because I think they think I was the best in that field.
7.       In one of our events, Mr. and Ms. Basura, we were able to generate almost 300 thousand pesos.

12.   Graduated with honors.

and i'm like, forget you oo, oo, oo ♫ ♫ ♫

Okay. IDK how you found out that I went out with Pat and I don't care either. You are mean and selfish. You hurt me, and now that I'm used to not having you, you haunt me again. I know that you don't deserve a fucking explanation but I feel like I deserve to defend Pat and I. You judged us, and you threw harsh words at me. Fuck. You.

Pat is more of a friend just like he is to you. He is your fucking bestfriend and he won't go fucking his bestfriend's ex. unlike you. There, a low blow. He knows what it feels like when your supposedly bestfriend, fucks his ex. It may not be cheating but it's still betrayal, is it not? He knows to never betray bros. BROS BEFORE HOES nga di'ba?

next is, I don't like Pat like that. Him and I don't have the same beliefs in a lot of things, just like you and I, and we both know how our differences affected us in the end, don't we? Given that, I won't fuck twice, You fucking asshole.

also,  remember when I ranted on and on about the maja-gerald-kim situation. how I loathed it? I loath it still and I dare not be called  a hypocrite, you know?

lastly, who I date, whether it's one of your friends or not, is none of your fucking business. You better watch your mouth if you know what's good for you. I've moved on, and I'm proud to say that I never needed to like a guy to achieve that.

So if there's a chance that you're reading this,
Please apologize to your bestfriend and move on. never contact me again.
thank you.

February 04, 2014

5 year plan.

This year I want to travel the Philippines.
nothing too expensive, nothing too grand.
I just want to spend time with ma, while we can.

we can go anywhere.
Maybe, we'll go to Tagaytay or Baguio.
we'll eat strawberries and bulalo.

It really doesn't matter where.
I just want to treat her,
I want to do it before December.

Next year, I'll travel alone.
Nothing too expensive, nothing too grand,
I just want more than a beach and a sand.

maybe somewhere in Asia.
I can go to Bangkok or Singapore,
or any where where snow will pour.

It really doesn't matter where,
I just want some solitude,
and just for a while, the world I can exclude.

the following year, I'll search for a new work.
nothing too boring, nothing too grand.
I just want to work with people I could stand.

maybe somewhere in Manila.
I can be an HR or a Party Planner,
I can even be a designer!

It really doesn't matter where.
I am young and I need to learn more.
I want a work that I would not abhor.

The year after next, I'll work overseas.
Nothing too boring, a little bit grand,
I want more money in my hand.

It can be in Canada.
I can be a chamber maid or a nanny,
I can meet foreign celebrities.

It does matter where,
and there I can exercise my independence,
and maybe i'll be able to afford a benz.

Then, the next year, I have saved up for a cruise.
hell expensive, I know it's grand,
but everything has been planned.

I can go to Greece,
Or anywhere with  music and happy people.
A fun place where I can drink until I cripple.

It really doesn't matter where,
Maybe Bali or Maldives,
I needed this to revive.

then on the last year of my 5 year plan,
it's not gonna be boring, nor gonna be grand,
I want a boyfriend that will hold my hand.

I might meet him in a bookstore or a coffee shop.
He'll be tall, loving and funny.
He'll tell me dozens of fascinating stories.

will it matter where?
he will make me feel more happy and pretty,
and I will love him like he's my destiny.

Free Spirit

I want to leave this place, I want to travel.
I want to be rich, I want to love.
I want to give everything but take everything at the same time.
I want to taste everything the world has to offer.

I just want to be free.

I want to dance,
I want to sing.
I want to scream,
I want to be naked.

I want honesty,
I want hugs,
I want kisses too.
I want to want you.

I just want to be free.

I want to people watch,
I want to learn,
I want to leave the four walls of the classroom,
I want to cry,
I want to mourn.

I just want to be free.

I want to feel.
I want to feel anything at all.
I want to laugh so hard the my sides are hurting.
I want to stare at people.
I want to take a picture.

I just want to be free.

I want to live alone.
I want space.
I want to sleep in the morning and drink coffee at night.
I want to wear my underwear after my clothes.

I just want to be free.

I want to see a person with passion.
I want to have that passion.
I want to hold hands.
I want to fight.
I want to make everything alright.

I just want to be free.

I want to fly like a bird,
and I want to swim like a mermaid.
I want to run and run and run until my feet hurts.
I want to hide,
I want to be seen,
I want to be a movie star, or just a girl in the library.

I just want to be free.

I want to decide my life.
I want to work on my mistakes.
I want to stop thinking about you, and the rest of you.
I want to love me, and just me.

I just want to be free.
The first time he said, "Let's talk."

an hour date and a whole new level of opening up.

Out of the blue

You're so random like me
and you make me really happy.
I really find you silly.

I love it when you surprise me.
Like you'd make me a tea,
when you really want a cup of coffee.

It really doesn't bother me
when you call me honey.
It makes me feel pretty.

Though you still scare me.
Like, you may leave me suddenly.
If you must break my heart, do it gently.

He bought this for me one Saturday afternoon on the month of January.
why? I don't know either.

My first meets the present

So  I was rummaging through my clutter when I stumbled upon my old phone. The one one the right is my first phone, that is a Motorola C651, while on the left is my present phone, which is a Samsung GT-E2202. I've decided to blog this when I realized how similar they look.

I got my first phone when I was in 6th grade. I think it was a birthday or Christmas present, but i'm sure between the two because my father does not normally surprise us with his generosity.
anyway, I think there was internet then, or was it some Globe wallpaper downloads thingy, but I remember spending so much load just so I could download a Harry Potter wallpaper.

My phone had no infrared nor a bluetooth but it has GPRS (yay gprs!). It has a camera but I had no idea how i was gonna transfer my #selfies to my friendster page. Also, one of my problems with that phone is that it had no sd card slot. It always break my heart to delete my other selfies just so I can take a new one.

9 years later, and viola. My new phone looks exactly like my old phone and my camera's sucky too.
at least my present phone is waaaaaaaaaaaaay cheaper (not too sure but I'd like to think so.) than my first.

so compare compare.
